Oil tankers are moving to Nigeria’s major terminal to load crude despite militant attacks on oil facilities.
Five vessels are expected to load sweet crude from Nigeria. The first scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, 4th October, is The Suezmax Ottoman Nobility set to arrive at Qua Iboe Terminal. Four others would arrive on the 15th of October.
Shipments of crude oil from Qua Iboe and Forcados would resume this month. Exports have been halted earlier this year as a result of militant attacks. Recommencement of shipment from these terminals would cause an increase in Nigeria’s export to 1.8million bpd (barrels per day).
