Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu demands that both Rivers and Benue states become a part of Biafra.
The British-Nigerian political activist recently revealed how the federal government already ‘released’ the five Igbo states to him, thereby giving him a go-ahead to form the Biafran republic.
According to the Abia state native, he was offered the five South Eastern states on a platter of gold while in prison. He reportedly rejected the offer, insisting that Benue and Rivers states must be included.
The IPOB spokesman, based on reports was also offered a mouth watering oil block together with a mansion situated at Dubai. He said he gladly turned down all freebies as they were only meant to distract him from accomplishing his goals. Mr Kanu maintains his refusal to give in to forces that might hinder him from restoring the Biafran republic.
In his words: ” they gave me Biafra in prison with only the five Igbo states, I said no, I want Benue and Rivers”.
