Mother of Dorcas Yakubu, one of the missing Chibok girls remembers her daugher’s 20th birthday today.
Dorcas is one of 276 school girls that were kidnapped in Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno state on 14th of April 2014 by Boko Haram terrorists. 103 girls have reportedly regained their freedom since the abduction but Dorcas is still missing and yet to be found. She was 16 years old as at the time of the kidnap.
Earlier today, her mother pleaded and asked fellow Nigerians to wish her a happy birthday and also to remember her in prayers.
Dorcas’s mother, Esther Yakubu said;
“I want the world to remember her and the other girls in their prayers”.
According to Esther, she last saw signs of her daughter two years ago when she appeared, wearing a faded black abaya and patterned headscarf, in a Boko Haram propaganda video.
